Soul Soup

The band features lead vocalist and sax virtuoso JONAS WEATHERS. With over 25 years experience performing with the likes of Jason D. Williams, Louise Mandrell, and Eddie Money, he's developed an infectious style that you will fall in love with. Jonas is backed by TODD SHOLAR on keys, who has an impressive range from honky-tonk piano and ripping blues/rock organ to high-tech synth. You'll think there's a 4 piece horn section on stage somewhere, but it's just Todd and his masterful and tasteful command of the keyboards. Then there's BOBBY DANCY, one of Nashville's best on bass. Rooted in the styles of the greats like James Jamerson and Marcus Miller, he's known for his solid "in the pocket" groove as well as his ability to throw in a jaw-dropping lick or two. Right in that pocket with Bobby is drummer STEVE MCCANN, who has an uncanny ability to lay down any groove to perfection, and he sings great too! Throw in versatile guitarist ERIC BRIGHT, who can play everything from the funky rhythms of Jimmy Nolen and the crying leads of Stevie Ray Vaughan, to the screaming solos of Eddie Van Halen, and you've got yourself one of the hottest, most versatile bands in Nashville - able to nail everything from Motown to 80s rock.
